I have a little bit of a thing for birds in particular owls! This was a christmas present from my family (Mum and Sister). My mother is always on the look out for 'owl things' and one of the members of staff in her local charity shop, Velindre Cancer Research in Cardiff, even keeps an eye out and lets her know when something 'owl' comes in! Its something about the large starry eyes and regality of their posture and pose that is so alluring to me. The magical connotations and implications of wisdom gives them a high status in the bird world! They glide silently due to their feathers being light and fluffy to air passes by them without sound! The way they sit up in trees and their talons grip the branch, the 360 degree turn of the neck and the heart shape face! I am spoilt rotten with kindness and love that someone knows me so well as to know what I love and to endeavor to find things for me that will make me smile! thank you momma and bride!
